Days 6–7 | Almaty → Issyk-Kul

Leave Uzbekistan behind and fly to Almaty, Kazakhstan's cosmopolitan mountain city.

Explore the city's highlights, including the beautiful Zenkov Cathedral and the lively Green Bazaar, where local produce, spices, flavors, and everyday Kazakh life come together.

Then leave the city behind and travel toward Kyrgyzstan.

Cross the border and continue through spectacular mountain scenery toward Issyk-Kul, the vast alpine lake surrounded by the Tian Shan mountains.

As the day unfolds, the landscape changes dramatically — from city streets to open valleys, alpine scenery, and towering mountains.
